Come and join us for linocut printmaking fun in this small friendly printmaking workshop.
In this one day workshop you will learn the fundamentals of linocut, including how to design, prepare, carve and print your own linocut print. All materials will be provided including lino blocks, carving tools, inks (water based and oil based) rollers and paper. You will receive an introduction into equipment, carving methods and printing techniques and you will explore different ways of adding colour. You will have access to professional printing presses and will also learn how to hand burnish your prints.
This is a fun introductory day, the classes are small which allow for lots of help and guidance. Tea, Coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring a packed lunch.
This workshop is suitable for all levels
There will be plenty of inspirational images to inspire your designs but please feel free to bring along your own ideas and images too (and an apron!)
